The various Micro-photoreactor models from UV-Consulting Peschl eliminate these limitations, enabling precise control over photochemically initiated reactions. Due to their continuous flow operation, reaction kinetics can be accurately optimized and analyzed in real-time. This precision allows for the detection of undesired by-products caused by over-irradiation.
While flat-bed reactors may experience some reflection loss—leading to a reduction in system efficiency—they offer distinct advantages that make them the preferred choice for fundamental research.
When integrated with the patented NovaLight Cube 100 irradiation module, the micro-photoreactor utilizes selectable band-pass filters to achieve precise wavelength selection. This makes it an invaluable tool for developing photochemical reactions and studying secondary reactions or by-products. Alternatively, the system can be equipped with the NovaLight FLED100, a high-performance UV light source based on LED technology.
Engineered to withstand pressures up to 40 bar, these reactors allow for higher flow rates than traditional tubular systems. Both the reactor and the light source feature liquid cooling systems, ensuring absolute temperature control throughout the reaction process.
