The Steribelt germicidal UV light module has been designed for cross-contamination prevention during food processing. Its simple, compact, and robust design allows for use in multiple applications.
The most prominent application is conveyor belt disinfection in the food industry. The Steribelt module offers the major advantage of disinfecting while the operator is working, thereby reducing cleaning downtime and limiting the time dedicated to these tasks. Furthermore, it improves the microbiological quality of the product and even its shelf life.
The use of indium amalgam lamps increases germicidal power fourfold compared to conventional UV lamps. Additionally, thanks to “Flat Lamp” technology, more than 50% of the light is focused toward the target surface, minimizing reflection losses. The high germicidal power and efficiency result in savings on spare parts and energy consumption.
