Ultraviolet (UV) lamps for all types of applications: disinfection, photochemistry, curing, or luminescence. Low and medium/high pressure, and LED emitters.
Ultraviolet lamps.Ultraviolet (UV) lamps are the heart of any system based on this technology. Consequently, they are the most critical component and must meet the highest quality standards to ensure the equipment operates as intended throughout its entire lifespan.
Essentially and in simple terms, all existing UV light lamps consist of two electrodes. A potential difference is generated between them, causing a high-intensity electrical current to flow, which ionizes the gas contained inside. This ionization leads to the emission of non-ionizing radiation (visible light is also non-ionizing), which depends on the nature of the ionized gas and the pressure inside the lamp.
While the gas inside the ultraviolet lamp controls the emitted light spectrum, the type of quartz used in its construction also plays a vital role. In low-quality lamps, this is often just very thin common glass. Quartz is essential because it can filter out certain wavelengths or allow them to pass through.
When you factor in the quality of the electrodes, connection pins, and the lamp geometry, there are many elements that distinguish a premium lamp from a low-quality alternative. The result:
Note 1: Given the wide variety of lamps available, these catalogs only include the most common low-pressure models. Please inquire about the availability of other lamps (Xenon, medium pressure, high power, etc.).
Note 2: Lamps that are part of other systems are described in the sections corresponding to those units (surface disinfection, curing, photochemistry, etc.).
