Due to their large volume, disinfecting high-capacity tanks (cisterns, concrete reservoirs, etc.) requires high-output ultraviolet power to achieve the necessary doses for water treatment. Combining several DTS waterproof lamps into a single system offers a simple and effective solution.

While it is possible to treat water at the tank outlet using an in-line UV reactor, eliminating microorganisms such as algae or yeast can be more challenging if the reactor is not specifically sized for that task. Installing lamps inside the tank ensures that, due to the residence time, the liquid receives a sufficient UV dose for complete sterilization.

Simultaneously, the germicidal action of the DTS XL-10 system prevents the growth of germs or algae in the stored fluid, eliminates biofilms on the tank walls, and disinfects the liquid/air interface—where microbial contamination is most likely to occur. This guarantees that the reservoir will never become a source of contamination for the incoming liquid.
